At just 12 years old, Sydney and Britt’s paths crossed, and a special bond was formed. Their 'dating' back then was more about a playful friendship than anything serious but the love was there. When Britt had to move back to Texas, Sydney told him, 'Once you're in Texas, I'm not your girlfriend anymore.' When questioned by Britt's mom about this statement, Sydney responded, 'Because if I don't, he'll never forget about me.' True to Sydney's words, Britt never did forget about her.

Years later, in December 2023, Sydney reached out to Britt, reigniting a connection that had effortlessly stood the test of time. When Sydney visited Britt in Texas for the first time since his prom in 2020, it felt as though no time had passed at all; they were still the best of friends. After countless miles traveled back and forth between Kansas and Texas, Britt decided "I gotta see about a girl." (Hopefully you've seen Good Will Hunting, wink wink) He made the bold move to Kansas in 2024, to be closer to Sydney.
