We met through a mutual childhood friend/family during the winter season of 2021-2022. From our beginning, long distance has always been the biggest challenge we have had to face. With me (Sydney) out in California for optometry school and Josh working on the farm in Indiana or flying airplanes, our first several conversations were restricted to texts, phone calls, and FaceTime videos. Our first date was in February of 2022 and Josh flew all the way out to San Diego! We immediately hit it off and knew we had something special. For almost a year and a half, either Josh would fly out to California or I would fly out to Indiana 1-2 times per month so we could spend time together in person. Praise the Lord for flight benefits! We got engaged August of 2023 and started the wedding process shortly afterwards. We are thankful for the support of both of our families during this season of our lives, but we both know that we owe the success of our relationship to our Father in Heaven Who has paved our paths and joined them together. We look forward to praising His name together for the rest of our days here on this side of eternity.
