Some stories don’t start with fireworks. They start with familiarity. We knew each other back in high school, but life had its own plans for us first. Years later, a simple message reconnected us, and what started as catching up quickly turned into the kind of conversations you never want to end. At the time, both of us were walking our own paths. Zack was working hard in his career several hours away, and Sydney was building a beautiful life rooted in home and motherhood. Somehow, those two worlds just fit. What began as something effortless quickly became comfort, laughter, and peace and the kind you don’t have to question. From late-night FaceTimes to weekend road trips, our relationship has always felt easy, steady, and full of grace. We’ve learned that love doesn’t have to be loud to be real. Sometimes it’s in the simple moments, the prayers answered quietly, and the way God weaves two stories back together at just the right time. On October 4, 2025, Zack got down on one knee and asked Sydney to spend forever with him, and she said yes to the man who feels like home to both her and Navy. Now we can’t wait to celebrate this chapter surrounded by all the people who have loved, supported, and prayed for us along the way. Only God could’ve written this story, and the best part is, it’s just getting started!
