Q + A

How do I RSVP?

We are asking all our guests to utilize the RSVP function here on the knot! Please click the RSVP button and enter the name on your invitation. You will then be asked if you are attending or not, and a food choice for dinner.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to venue capacity, we have limited the number of plus ones which will be stated specifically on your invitation. If you have a concern about having a plus one, please reach out to Tyler or Sydney directly and we will do our best to accommodate requests prior to the wedding. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate guests that were not included when you sent in your RSVP.

Can I bring my children?

Although we love your children, we are unable to accommodate children due to capacity and venue restrictions. We kindly request you don't bring any children that were not included on your invitation. Since the wedding ceremony is located near the lake shore with no barriers, we hope to reduce any safety issues.

What is the dress code?

We ask that you dress in either semi formal or cocktail attire. Our bridal party will be wearing dark grey tuxes and teal-blue dresses, but feel free to wear whatever colors you love! No jeans or white dresses, please!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The wedding ceremony will be held outdoors on the shore of Green Lake at Heidel House Hotel and Resort. The reception will take place indoors at Heidel House following the ceremony. Should we have poor weather, there is a back up plan in place to have the ceremony on a covered balcony located near the reception hall. However, should there be light rain showers, we will be having the ceremony outdoors as planned!

What type of food options will be available?

When you RSVP, you will be given 3 different food options for dinner. This will consist of a choice between 2 proteins (pork or chicken) or a vegetarian option. We will be having a plated meal, so it's important you select a meal that will meet any dietary preferences. If you have any other dietary concerns, please list so on your RSVP.

Will there be an open bar?

We will have kegs of beer, seltzers, and soda available for guests free of change during the cocktail hour and reception. Other drinks will be available for purchase.

What time will the wedding ceremony and reception end?

The ceremony will begin at 4 PM and will conclude around 4:30 PM. Following the ceremony, we will offer a cocktail hour that will go until 6 PM. At this time we will begin dinner service. Our guests are welcome to stay until midnight when the reception ends, but the music will become more "PG-13" following 9 pm. We hope to see you on the dance floor!

Am I allowed to take pictures at the wedding?

While we want everyone to have pictures from our special day, we ask our guests to be as present as possible during the ceremony by turning off cell phones. We have an amazing photographer and we will be sure to share all her amazing photos with you following the wedding. We do invite our guests to take as many photos as they would like at the reception!

Who will be attending the wedding?

We will be making the RSVP on the website public to those who submitted their RSVP so you can see others in attendance!

Will there be assigned seating?

During the ceremony, there will not be any assigned seating. We will have ushers to help you find any open seats. We do ask that you leave the front row for parents and grandparents but please sit on either side of the aisle, we are all family on this day! Due to reception seating capacity, we will have assigned seating for dinner. A seating chart will be located outside of the reception hall entrance. When we begin dancing, please feel free to move seats if you would like to mingle with others!

When will I get to mingle with the Bride and Groom?

Both the bride and the groom are so excited you will be attending our special day! Please allow us to have a moment to take in our special day by allowing us to eat dinner together without interruption. Following dinner, we will be so excited to hug, talk, and hang out with everyone who is in attendance.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

It's very important that all our guests are able to be in attendance for our day. Our venue is wheelchair accessible for both the ceremony and the reception. If you have a concern about the accessibility, please let us know so we can make appropriate accommodations.
