Our Wedding

It all started at the University of Minnesota... Where two people started out as friends until they realized they were meant to be more. Sam and Syd met at a Thursday Night pre-game to which Syd thought would live up to the name "pre-game". Until she walked into a room full of 5 guys watching Thursday Night Football! They headed out to the famous Sally's Bar at the U of M and started chatting. The conversation was so easy it felt like they had known each other forever. They continued a close friendship for 7 months until Sam had the confidence to ask Syd on a real date. Soon after that they were at the Spring-Jam concert at the U, listening to A$AP FERG, when Sam asked the first question of a relationship, "Will you be my girl-friend?". Syd, of course accepted and their relationship began. They spent every waking moment together and made the most of their Senior year at the U of M. They graduated college and decided it was best for Syd to move back in with her parents and save some money to pay for school. Sam moved in with a college friend, Ben, and started his career as an Architectural Intern. 2 years later Syd and Sam decided to make the move and get their first apartment together! They learned the in's and out's of living with each other and took the next step in their relationship. Soon enough, Sam and Syd were celebrating their 4th year together as a couple. Syd insisted on going to her favorite Italian restaurant, Arezzo but Sam turned it down. This still didn't get her suspicions up, though. Sam insisted since they always try new places together that they had to try a new Italian restaurant in Excelsior called Red Sauce Rebellion. They headed to Excelsior and Sam wanted to walk by the water and look at the boats before dinner (Syd thought: He's into this stuff? Nothing new). Sam was rambling on about life, work, and their relationship and grabbed Syd's hands. In disbelief, Syd couldn't even speak. Sam got down on one knee and said, "4 years isn't enough, I'm ready for a lifetime, Will you Marry Me?". Syd cried and finally got her answer out..."YES!!!". At this point, Syd didn't know what to do, she was completely stunned and STARVING for that matter. Until Sam broke the news they weren't actually going to dinner. Sam said they were heading to the Madren's to tell the family and eat dinner- he was smart enough to make Syd drive so she wouldn't be FaceTiming all her friends and family to share the news. They get to the Madren's and Syd had yet another surprise waiting for her- All their friends and family were waiting at the house with a "SURPRISE!!!" engagement party!! They spent the night celebrating the next huge step in their relationship with all of their loved ones, it was a night they will never forget! Now, they wait until 7/9/2022 until the next celebration of their love and the beginning of their FOREVER. Here's to celebrating the Future Challe's!!!

What is the Wedding Day Timeline? 3:30pm- Wedding Ceremony&nbsp; 4:00pm- Cocktail Hour&nbsp; 5:45pm- Dinner is served 6:45pm- Speeches &amp; Toasts 7:15pm- Dance Begins!! 9:00pm, 10:00pm, 11:45pm,&nbsp;and 12:15am- Shuttles will be provided to Hotels!

UPDATE - We want our guests to have a great time celebrating with us and to be safe. A shuttle will be provided from the Skyroom to the hotels in Red Wing beginning around 9 p.m. You can leave your car overnight at the venue.

Holiday Inn Express &amp; Suites is 1 mile away from the Wedding Venue. We will have shuttles provided for easy transportation back and forth from the venue.
