On April 4, 2026, we’ll be saying “I do” at the beautiful MacArthur Place Hotel &amp; Spa in Sonoma, California, and we truly can’t wait to share this unforgettable weekend with you. Your love, support, and presence — whether near or far — means the world to us. We’re especially grateful to those traveling to be with us; thank you for making the journey and being part of this incredibly special moment in our lives. Some love stories begin in the most unexpected places — for us, it was freshman year of high school, in College Algebra. We sat in the same classroom, unaware that the person sitting nearby would one day become our forever. Looking back, it’s clear something special was already unfolding, but at the time, Sydney insisted: “We’re just friends.” Mrs. Mobes, our algebra teacher and now dear friend, thought otherwise. She was our earliest believer — gently (and sometimes not-so-gently) nudging us toward each other, even offering to pay for our first date. We didn’t take her up on it, but her faith in us planted a seed that would keep growing. The next year, we were unexpectedly voted Homecoming Duke and Duchess by our classmates. Sydney had no idea it was even happening — but it brought us back into each other’s lives in a new way. Friends kept telling her, “Oscar’s so in love with you,” and maybe for the first time, she started to see what they saw: something real, something lasting. By junior year, we found ourselves together in first period Physics. Early mornings turned into moments shared. The quiet in-between became comfort. And slowly, surely, we both stopped pretending it wasn’t meant to be. That year, the volleyball player fell for the football player — and yes, it was so high school, in all the best ways. What began with friendship turned into love. What started in a classroom has carried us through every chapter since. And now, surrounded by all the people who have cheered us on from the beginning, we can’t wait to step into this next season of life — together.

Our wedding will be Black Tie Formal. We kindly ask our guests to join us in classic black formal attire — tuxedos or black suits for gentlemen, and formal black gowns or elegant black evening wear for ladies.
