Both born and raised in Roseville, Minnesota, Syd and Pat began attending Parkview Center School in the early 2000s. They first shared classes and grew acquainted with one another in fifth and sixth grade, occasionally hanging out and riding their bikes around Roseville with friends.

While attending high school together, there may have even been an invite issued to the Sadie Hawkins Dance… Pat said no, fool that he was. Life took them in different directions after graduation, but years later, in 2019, they reconnected on social media. In the intervening years, they had both grown slightly less foolish, and thus, they started hanging out again. Syd introduced Pat to camping and skiing, and Pat introduced Syd to Star Trek.

The rest is history.

Yeddie was born Mr. Green Jeans, on November 5, 2024 in Wausau, Wisconsin.

He is a purebred Clumber Spaniel, with lemon colored markings.

He is one of six boys and three girls—yup, a litter of nine! Poor mama! He was the smallest baby born, “the runt”.

We got to meet him for the first time at a puppy party when he was just 8 weeks old. We fell in love with little baby Green.

At 12 weeks old, February 1st, 2025, we brought little Yeddie to his new home.

Yeddie is a thriving and bubbly puppy, learning his boundaries with our two cats, Oliver and Buffy. He’s keeping us busy, and in return we’re trying to keep him busy with lots of training opportunities and new experiences.

Oliver, an orange tabby with captivating green eyes, was born in late spring, 2017, near Redwing, MN. Sydney met Oliver through tech school, and by mid-November that same year, she adopted him and brought him home. He was Sydney's first pet and they share a special bond between them. Oliver is the eldest in the pet family, doing his best to keep Buffy and Yeddie in line. Some of his favorite activities are squirrel monitoring, zooming through the house, lounging in the sunny spots, and demanding belly rubs.

"The Middle Child"

Summit is the newest addition to the family. Sydney caught her in May, 2025, right on Summit Avenue, hence the name. She was a lost parakeet in need of home and the Binder residence had room for another. Now she brightens up all our days with her musical chirping and lively chatter.
