A Decade Down…Forever To Go

Fun Fact: While most people think Zach and Sydney’s love story started their freshman year of college, it actually started 2 years prior. In high school Zach had a little crush on Sydney and with an extra nudge from their friends, he got the courage to kiss her one night.   As Zach and Sydney started their freshman year of college their mutual friends continued to pull them near each other. This time they hit it off and Zach continued to come visit Sydney at Michigan State almost every weekend. By December 2011, Zach stepped up and officially asked Sydney to be his girlfriend. The next year Zach moved to Michigan State and they continued their fun college days by each other’s side. After graduation in 2015, Sydney moved to Chicago to live out her big city dreams and Zach moved between a few states pursuing his career. While they had a long distance relationship for about 2 years they continued to prioritize each other and visit every other weekend. As they were ready to be back in the same city together, they decided Grand Rapids would be the right place for them put down some roots and move in together. Zach and Sydney were loving their life in Grand Rapids and decided it was time for the next step. After a short (and lucky) search, they bought their first home together in 2020, mid pandemic. A few months later, after a long time coming, Zach decided it was finally time to propose. After frantically searching for the perfect place, on December 18, 2020 he took Sydney for a walk around downtown Grand Rapids and got down on one knee and popped the question.   Zach and Sydney can’t wait to celebrate their love and marriage with you all on September 17, 2022. Come ready for a good time and we will see you all on the dance floor!
