How They Met

Sydney and Jared's paths crossed towards the conclusion of their freshman year at Missouri State University. They initiated their relationship just before Sydney embarked on a summer journey with the campus student ministry, which meant they had to endure the initial three months of their relationship apart. However, upon her return to Kansas City, they seamlessly resumed their connection, and it was crystal clear from that moment onward that their bond was destined to be everlasting.

Their Love Story

The beginning of Sydney and Jared’s relationship was sparked by one eventful night resulting in a journey characterized by laughs, love, passion, and friendship. Once they graduated from Missouri State University they lived in separate cities since Jared is from St. Louis and Sydney is from Kansas City. After about 8 months of living in separate cities, Jared moved to Kansas City to be closer to Sydney. They have gotten to experience many different stages of life side by side which has made their love grow stronger. They are each other's best friend. They are soul mates. And they are eagerly awaiting September 21, 2024 to make each other husband and wife!

The Proposal

On August 26, 2023 Jared planned the most romantic proposal at The Inn at Meadowbrook. The two of them had a lovely dinner at Verbena, followed by a walk around the lake. As they approached the bridge, Jared got down on one knee and asked Sydney to marry him. All of their friends and family were waiting to celebrate. It was a night they will never forget!
