Paul and Sydney met in 2018 at a concert in Sioux City. As Paul states, “I chased her for eight or nine months. She wasn’t easy to lock down, let me tell you!” After two and a half years of dating long-distance while Sydney attended UNI in Cedar Falls, Paul bought a house in Marcus, and the two of them moved in together in January of 2021. Sydney finished her student teaching in May of 2021 while Paul continued to run his trucking business and farm near Granville. Sydney graduated college and got a job teaching 7th and 8th grade English at MMCRU in Remsen. (Yes, she loves it!) The couple loves listening to music on their record player, hanging out with friends, and spending time with their dog, Penny, and their cat, Pam.
