What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP through this website by July 20, 2025.

Is there a dress code?

Cocktail-Casual! The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception is within an open air pavilion. September can be extremely beautiful in Nebraska; it can also be hot and windy, please plan accordingly.

Is this event adult only?

No, humans of all ages are welcome. Bringing your children is your choice, though note that we are not providing childcare. Please let us know how many will be in your party!

Are there any rooms saved at Mahoney State Park?

There are not blocked rooms at the State Park. There are blocked rooms at the local hotel in Gretna, NE (10 minutes from venue). There are two 12-person cabins reserved at the State Park and are first-come, first-serve. Please contact John or Sydney to discuss this lodging option.

Where is the ceremony?

The ceremony and reception are at the open-air pavilion at Mahoney State Park. Circled in dark blue on the map below.

If I drive or rent a car, what is parking like?

There is parking available to the west of the venue. There are handicap spots available as well and the wedding is wheelchair accessible. There is not a shuttle to and from lodging.

Is there an entrance fee to the State Park?

Yes, for vehicles that have a Nebraska license plate, the fee is $7 per day/vehicle. It is $14 per day/vehicle for out of state license plates. Permits can be purchases online, a fee may be added for payments with a credit card. https://www.gooutdoorsne.com/customer/catalog

Will food and drinks be provided?

During cocktail hour, there will be snacks and drinks for your enjoyment. We will have a buffet-style dinner and the bar will be open until 9:30 pm. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony?

The ceremony will begin roughly at 4:00 pm. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before this start time to find a comfortable seat.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

During the ceremony, we are requesting an unplugged service. We ask that you allow our photographers and videographers to capture the intimate moments of our wedding service. During the cocktail hour and reception, you are free to take as many photos as you would like!
