On October 3rd, 2020, Paul had set up a "date" day for him and Sydney. They started off the day by grabbing Condados tacos and heading to Alms Park for a picnic. Keep in mind that Sydney had been bugging Paul to propose for months now, and after it didn't happen in the first 5 minutes of their "date" day she was convinced it wasn't going to happen. After the picnic in the park, they headed to the driving range to hit some golf balls. The driving range was way too busy, so they left and headed to their favorite spot right off of Steamboat Drive. They walked around and looked out over the river together and then took a walk through the woods down to where they would always hang out by the banks. They skipped some rocks, took in the view, and headed back to the car. Sydney was waiting in the passenger seat for Paul to get back in. She thought that he was changing his shoes when Paul suddenly announced that they had a flat tire. The only thing running through Sydney's head was "do I have my triple-A card, and is my dad available" she didn't even notice that Paul was down on one knee. Once Paul reeled her back in on what was happening she was floored. Paul FINALLY asked her to marry him but had blacked out from nervousness he didn't even hear her reply "YES!" Six and a half years later, They finally get to tie the knot!
