Our Story

Friends at UTOnce upon a time at the University of Texas at Austin, two ambitious students, Benedikt and Sylvia, found their paths intertwined. In the fall of 2013, we both transferred into the Business Honors Program as sophomores, where a pivotal moment awaited. Our professor assigned us to the same group based on our Myers-Briggs personality tests, unknowingly setting the stage for our extraordinary journey. In that vibrant classroom, we forged a strong friendship, bonding over late-night study sessions with our team, all of whom joked about traveling to Machu Picchu together. Despite our mutual crush, we remained just friends for the next eight years. The Peru TripFast forward to the summer of 2021. Benedikt took the leap and decided to fulfill our Machu Picchu dream, inviting the group to join him. While our friends couldn’t make it, Sylvia jumped at the chance to embark on the adventure. What began as a friendly trip soon blossomed into something deeper. Surrounded by ancient ruins and breathtaking views of the Andes, we fell in love in Peru. Long Distance DatingUpon returning from that unforgettable trip, we officially began dating in October 2021, embarking on a long-distance relationship for the next two years. Benedikt was living in Connecticut for his career, while Sylvia stayed in Houston to be close to family. Despite the miles, our love only grew stronger, and we cherished every moment we could share. Engagement In August 2023, Benedikt took a huge step and proposed to Sylvia, marking a beautiful milestone in our love story. By December 2023, he made the move to Houston, bringing us even closer as we prepared for this exciting new chapter together. As we stand on the brink of our wedding, we are filled with gratitude for our journey—from classmates to friends, to life partners. We can't wait to celebrate our love with you!
