Love is not something that you go out and look for. We learned our lesson. Love finds you, and when you least expect it, ready or not, it will be the best thing that happens in your life.

Our Covid experiences brought us together on April 18, 2020. Never could we have predicted that an illness that we both shared would have brought so much laughter in our first weeks of dating.

In a year when it was so dark, we were scared. But our love for each other brought radiance into our lives that we both deserved.

These years together have taught us lessons of communication, patience, resilience and trust - often when the world was frozen or crazy.

Covid may have brought our lives together, but our loves for soccer, symphony, and sand keep us together.

Our love for traveling has taken us all over the world. Who would have thought that after being in the Navy for six years, Jorge would be reeled into a new world of cruising and spending his vacations on a cruise ship.

While on a cruise, Jorge purchased Sylvia's engagement ring in Honduras on December 31, 2022. Tucked it away safely for an entire year. While on the Canival Vista, on December 31, 2023, Jorge got down on one knee at 11:59pm to ask Sylvia to marry him.

In the excitement, Jorge struggled to get the ring out of the box, smiled and handed her the box (and no words were spoken). At the strike of midnight on New Years Eve - we were engaged!

Honduras and December 31 have important meaning in our relationship. We are excited to share our wedding with our family and friends in Honduras on December 31, 2024.
