Infamous Pink Sloth Underwear Guy - Sylvie's Story

My friend and I were headed up to explore Weir Hot Springs on a random wednesday night. We were setting up our car camping in the dark and a gentleman tapped me on the shoulder "do you have any pants I can buy? My trunks are still soaked! " and I flashed my flashlight at him to see he was standing there shivering in pink. sloth. underwear.

Stranger danger subsided after seeing that! I thought to myself 'well, he doesn't want INTO my pants he just needs pants!' so I went to the back of my truck to grab out my extra sweats and he had vanished! Thinking I had seen a ghost, we hiked to the hot springs for a night soak!

Kate and I decided to hike back into the hot springs in the morning, and I saw that he still hadn't found any pants, and had to warm up in the natural springs.. He wasn't a ghost, and his name was Sean Larsen.

I ended up ditching my gal pal and went to Jerry Johnson Hot Springs with my pink sloth underwear guy and his new hotsprings friends! Sean ended up buying me lunch at the Lochsa Lodge (fully clothed) and the rest is history...

In August 2021 we moved to Billings and started the biggest adventure yet. Homeownership.

We redid the entire upstairs between the flooring pro Sean, my eye for interior design and the extensive help of Patti and Troy! Our favorite renovations have been our Pool Lounge downstairs and our backyard oasis.

We have really fallen in love with our lives in Billings. Being closer to the Larsens, enjoying the Bighorn River and Yellowtail Dam every chance we get. We cannot wait to share our little corner of the world with you on our wedding day.

8.11.23 - We headed up to our favorite stargazing spot. 'The Top of The World' There was a meteor shower happening that entire weekend however the 11th was going to be the best viewing! He had asked a few months earlier what kind of ring I might like, so I had my spidey senses turned up to MAX that night! We had a beautiful evening but he didn't get down on one knee!

8.12.23 - We got up early and loaded up our kayaks and then headed up to Roscoe on an old back highway that turned to dirt road. About an hour in, BOOM CRASH BANG, and Sean nonchalantly says "we just lost a boat..." thank God it was a dirt road, going 20 mph and no other cars around!! We got it all secured and realized it was faulty straps... after adjusting them, we got to our camping spot safely.

It was literally a fairyland, the beautiful river rushing behind the lanky aspen trees, with a small sandy oasis right beside our firepit in front of a little stream flowing. I grabbed a stick and drew a circle in the sand "this is OUR happy place" Since, MY happy place is Polebridge, HIS happy place is Yellowtail and now WE have ours.

Now, since he didn't propose at the meteor shower, and our kayak extravaganza, I was sure it definitely was not happening this weekend! We started a fire, got all of our camp set up and then he started the music!

We danced around the campfire to "Love Rocket" by the Red Elvises, if you don't know that song you will by the end of our wedding night!! Then he prompted our song, "Get No Better" by Great American Taxi. (originally "Joseph's Dream" by John Hartford)

He led me down to the beachy fairyland and embraced me, whispering in my ear "I love you forever" He started reaching in his pocket, and it wasn't until THAT moment that I realized what he was getting down on one knee!!!!

We cried and laughed and hugged for a solid 10 minutes before I could even come back into the real world. We kept it a secret from EVERYONE for about 5 days before I exploded and had to tell!
