Our story is fun, messy, and not like most but it's what got us here and for that we are so grateful.

We met as young courageous teenagers thinking we knew what life was all about. But, at 14 and 16 years old we had no clue what was in store for us.

In 2011 when life was good and McDonald's still had an actual dollar menu and a counter with a person taking your order, we found ourselves gawking over each other as Jeremiah took my order. Miah was a hard-working teenager who was proud of the money he made and I... well let's face it, I just like food, and he was cute.🤷🏽‍♀️

After the, what I can only imagine was a cringy encounter at McDonald's it didn't take long for Jeremiah and me to fall pretty hard for each other. Our relationship started fast but we embraced it and lived that first year of dating as an inseparable couple on cloud nine.

After that year of puppy love, Jeremiah graduated from high school early (over achiever🙄) and wanted to move to California to live with his Dad. That was when we decided it was time to part ways. I mean, after all, I was only 15 and I wasn't waiting around for anyone... Or so I thought!

As time went on he lived his life and I lived mine, I graduated high school, attended my first year of college, and was ready to show my hometown all I learned in Brookings in that short 9 months. (I bet you can guess how much of that was academic😅). But instead, within that first month of summer Jeremiah and I ran into each other and it was almost like no time had passed at all.

We fell right back into the love we once had for one another and it never ended. Since the summer of 2016, we've been loving each other unconditionally.

Between the year we spent together in high school and the 8 we've shared as adults we have been through what seems like a lifetime of cars (this is all Jeremiah), apartments, houses, college degrees, jobs, so many seasons of softball (also Jeremiah), many miles in vacations, a whole human society of dogs (you guessed it Jeremiah again), and so many memories that we can't even count.

The life we have built since that summer in 2016 is continuing to grow into something we are so proud of and we can't wait to see where it takes us now as husband and wife.🧡
