What should I wear?
The wedding will have a black tie optional dress code. This is a special day and we want all of our guests dressed to impress!
For men: While it is not required to wear a tux, it is encouraged. However, a suit works just as well.
For ladies: Formal gowns or cocktail dresses are recommended.
Color is encouraged when deciding on what to wear so please do not feel the need to stick to black! No jeans, khakis, or sneakers, please. Bridesmaids will be in pink. Have a question about what to wear? Feel free to ask!
What is the timeline of events?
Our ceremony will take place at 4:00 EST. Please plan to arrive 15-30 minutes prior in order to park and find a seat. If you arrive late and the ceremony has started, we ask that you do not interrupt but instead, stand at the back and join us at the reception! Once the ceremony has wrapped up our guests will head to the venue to enjoy cocktail hour, we will then move into dinner and after everyone has eaten, music and dancing!
Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Our ceremony will take place in the chapel of Pierce Chapel Methodist Church in Midland, GA. Once the ceremony has ended, guests will need to make their way to our reception venue, The Illges House. The Illges house is a 15-20 minute drive from the church located in Downtown Columbus, GA. The cocktail hour and dinner will take place outside and guests are more than welcome to enjoy the first floor of the Illges House throughout the evening.
What is parking like?
There is plenty of parking at the church, please avoid parking directly in front of the chapel. Parking is behind the Illges House in a gravel lot. We will have signs on the corner of 2nd avenue to help direct the flow of traffic.
When do I need to RSVP by? What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?
If we do not receive an RSVP back March 1, you will be marked as "not attending". We must provide accurate guest counts to our vendors in a timely manner.
Where is the couple registered?
We are registered on Amazon, Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn! By visiting our registry page on The Knot, you will see the items listed out. If you have any issues, feel free to visit the websites directly and search using our names in the registry tab.
Where should we bring/ send a wedding gift?
When ordering gifts directly from the online stores, we would love for them to be sent directly to our home. Please mail gifts to 9250 Veterans Pkwy Midland, GA 31820! We will also have a box designated for cards at the reception.
Can I take photos on my phone?
We have a wonderful photographer to help us capture the day and we ask that you do not take any photos throughout the ceremony. Once the party has started, please feel free to snap as many pictures as you would like, just make sure to share them!
Will alcohol be served?
Yes! Drinks will be available throughout the reception. We encourage everyone to drink safely and be mindful of their alcohol consumption throughout the evening. Please plan ahead to have a designated driver if necessary and know that Uber and Lyft services are available if needed.
