Avan and Taha’s story began in December 2020 at a gym, where a simple exchange of greetings would eventually lead to something extraordinary. As they got to know each other, it became clear that their connection was special—one that felt effortless and meant to be. Their journey wasn’t without its challenges. For two years, they faced the trials of a long-distance relationship, with Taha in law school in Houston and Avan remaining in Dallas. As their relationship blossomed, so did the connection between their families. Avan, with her Kurdish roots, and Taha, from Pakistan, found their cultures blending seamlessly, creating a rich and vibrant shared life. In June 2022, Taha approached Avan’s family to ask for her hand in marriage, a moment filled with love, joy, and gratitude. The following month, in July, they celebrated their engagement surrounded by those dearest to them, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives.
