For 18 years, two Connecticut kids lived just 13 (okay, 13.6) miles apart. We had mutual friends. We both had a deep love for Carvel ice cream. But somehow… we never met. Over the years, we ended up in all the same places — Vail, Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago. We even lived one floor apart in the same Chicago apartment building for a full year. Still, somehow didn't meet. Which is why we’re convinced: we met exactly when we were meant to. In May 2023, Charlie celebrated his 25th birthday on May 2nd. A few days later, he sent a very clever “I never see people from Connecticut on here” Hinge message — which led to a first date on May 10th. By Talia’s birthday on May 20th, we both knew. (Charlie knew on date one. Talia needed a second — which Charlie still thinks is ridiculous.) A few months later, Charlie floated the idea of getting his MBA in London. Had Talia ever thought about that? She hadn’t. But (true to form) instantly decided it was the best idea ever. On August 11th, 2024, we landed in London — ready to explore Europe (and learn a little, too). Since then, we’ve adventured through Portugal, South Korea, Finland, Italy, Spain, France, and of course, all over the UK. Now, MBAs in hand and still having the best time exploring the world together, we know this was always how the story was meant to unfold. And we’re so ready to celebrate with all of you.

Flying Into VailThe closest airport to Vail is Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), located just 40 minutes from Vail Village. EGE offers direct flights from several major cities and is a convenient option for guests who prefer a shorter transfer to the mountains. There are so many great hikes (all levels, even the hardest is still walking-only, just very steep) right on Vail Mountain! You can walk from the base right by Manor Vail, or take the gondola up at Vail Village or Lionshead for more options.
