What day should I RSVP by?
RSVPs are officially due by March 20, 2026… but if you already know you’re coming, don’t keep us in suspense! Fill out your RSVP early and make our planning hearts happy.
Can I bring a guest?
We’re keeping things cozy (and our caterer sane), so only the names listed on your RSVP are invited. If you have a plus-one, you’ll see a spot to add their name when you RSVP. If not, no worries - we guarantee plenty of new friends and dance partners!
Are kids welcome?
We adore your little ones, but this celebration is strictly 18+. Consider this your official pass for a kid-free night of great food, drinks, and some truly questionable dance moves.
Need a sitter while you’re in Charleston? We’ve got you covered! Text or call Valentina at Happy Little Guests (843-739-5699) and mention “Mettenheimer Wedding.”
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
The “I do’s” start promptly at 4:30 PM. Please plan to arrive around 4:00 so you can grab a seat, a selfie, and settle in before the big moment.
What is the dress code?
Dress to impress in cocktail attire! Basically: look sharp, feel fabulous, and leave the golf polos and flip-flops at home. Sequins? Sure. Bold suit? Absolutely. A cape? Don’t tempt us.
(One note: the venue is mostly grass, so for the ladies, we recommend block heels, wedges, or other shoe options that won’t sink into the lawn!)
Are you signed up with a wedding registry service?
Yes! We are using The Knot’s “Registry” tab for physical gifts and monetary contributions toward our future adventures. Any amount would mean the world to us!
How do I get to and from the wedding venue?
Our venue is tucked away on Johns Island - beautiful, but with limited cell service. Here are your options:
Hotel Shuttle: Staying in our Marriott hotel block? We’ve got you. A complimentary shuttle will run to and from the venue (RSVP required, seats are limited).
Driving: Ample parking is available! But please don’t drink and drive. Cars can stay overnight but have to be picked up before 10:00 AM the next day.
Car Service: If Uber or Lyft is your move, book IN ADVANCE - reception is patchy, and nobody wants to be stranded in the woods in wedding shoes.
Please feel free to reach out to us if there's a question that isn't answered above!
