Corno di Rosazzo has 3 airports nearby: Trieste (Ronchi Dei Legionari) Airport and Venice (Treviso and Marco Polo) Airports. From there we would recommend hiring a car to get to the venue as it is the easiest option and you can then use it for the rest of the weekend. If possible, we would also recommend flying straight into Trieste Airport as it is much closer and doesn't include toll fees if you drive to the venue. It is also closer to Croatia and Slovenia if you want to explore these countries afterwards too.
*Please remember to bring your driver's license!*
Coming from Venice Treviso Airport, follow the signs for VENEZIA and then PALMANOVA, exit here. Follow the signs for CORMONS, then CIVIDALE and then CORNO DI ROSAZZO. When you arrive at Corno di Rosazzo centre, there will be a small square on the left, shortly after there is a traffic light, turn right just before it. This road leads to the hill where the reception and accommodation are. Perusini, Solder and Il Postiglione are all sign posted. About a 1HR20 drive total.
Coming from Venice Marco Polo Airport, head towards TRIESTE/UDINE and then exit at PALMANOVA. Continue on to CORMONS, then CIVIDALE and then CORNO DI ROSAZZO. When you arrive there will be a small square on the left, shortly after there is a traffic light, turn right just before it. This road leads to the hill where the reception and accommodation are. Perusini, Solder and Il Postiglione are all sign posted. About 1HR20 drive.

If you don't want to hire a car and are coming from Venice Marco Polo Airport:
You can get a bus for 20 minutes (company ATVO) to VENEZIA MESTRE train station for €13 return (tickets can be bought inside the airport). Then, you take the train to UDINE for about 1hr30, €22 return (Trenitalia website or bought at the station). From there, take the bus to CIVIDALE and get off at CORNO DI ROSAZZO SCUOLA, about 40 minutes. The accommodation is a 5 minute walk from there. Minimum 2HR30 total travel time.
If you are coming from Venice Treviso Airport:
Take the bus (company MDM), or taxi, to TREVISO train station, about a 10 minute drive. Then, take the train to UDINE for 1hr20, €20 return. From there, the directions are the same as from Venice Marco Polo Airport. Minimum 2HR15 total travel time.
*You must always validate your tickets in Italy by having them stamped separately in the machines on the platform/stop*
If you are coming from Trieste Airport:
Let us know in advance that you are not planning to hire a car, and we will arrange transportation for you (otherwise public transport directions involve a 30 minute walk as well as a train and bus ride!)
The area is rich in natural and historical things to do. There is countryside, mountain and beach. The hill we are staying in, and where the reception is, is the Collio wine region. There are many other beautiful vineyards to explore, where you can also do wine tasting tours (including at Perusini).
Towns nearby of interest are Cormons, Cividale (a UNESCO world heritage site), Gorizia, Udine, Venice, Duino, Trieste, and more!
Beachwise, Sistiana is a 40 minute drive away and our personal favourite. It is a stony beach with deep, cool water. There is also Grado, a sandy beach town, 45 minutes away, which also has a lagoon that you can boat ride through. Nearby to Grado, there is Aquileia that has some Roman ruins.
The Dolomite mountains are about a 2 hour drive away.
Slovenia is a 15 minute drive away and Croatia about a 1.5 hour drive.
If you are staying for longer than the weekend and want some tips on what to do, let us know and we will gladly give you more details!
