We met back in 2020 through Talita’s ex-boyfriend, who worked with Rabea and sometimes climbed with her. At the time, Rabea was about to get married—and Talita even cooked for her wedding! (It was a potluck, and Talita brought Brazilian food… and all the vegetables. Rabea’s mom still remembers that moment and asked: “Who is this woman who comes with all of the vegetables?!”)

We stayed just friends for a while, but life had its own plans. In June 2021, Talita did a one-week internship in Rabea’s workgroup during her Ausbildung zur Erzieherin. It was a beautiful week, and we stayed lightly in touch. Then came karaoke.

We both love karaoke. Deeply. Spiritually. By early 2023, we were regularly seeing each other Monday nights at Monster Ronson’s in Berlin—a bit like going to church, just with glitter and Britney. Our friendship blossomed there, growing stronger with every song and every hard moment we helped each other through. Some of our Monday night regulars will even be at our wedding!

And then, one night... it happened. We were standing in front of the stage, Toyin sang Can’t Help Falling in Love, and sparks flew. Talita turned to Rabea and asked, “Are you thinking about kissing me?” After some honest laughter and flirting, we did. It was our first kiss—and a - at the time - stranger happened to film it (thanks Julia!!!). Fireworks, movie moment, everything. And it changed everything.

We tried to stay “just friends,” but it didn’t work. Within weeks, we were climbing together, traveling, spending more and more time side by side. Talita realized that the path she was on—house, hetero relationship, planned pregnancy—was no longer hers. She came out, ended her old chapter, and moved in. It was supposed to be “just for a few days”… and, well, here we are.

We still climb together. We still go to karaoke almost every Monday. And we still adore our cat family—Rabea’s Mango and Zora, and Talita’s Mia (who now lives with us after an emotional rescue journey). Chico, Talita’s other cat, sadly went missing after being rehomed temporarily, and we carry him in our hearts.

So here we are—building a life full of songs, chalky hands, cat cuddles, and real love. We can’t wait to celebrate this next step with you.

Nos conhecemos em 2020 através do ex-namorado da Talita, que trabalhava com a Rabea e às vezes escalava com ela. Na época, a Rabea estava pra casar — e a Talita inclusive cozinhou para o casamento dela! (Era uma celebração coletiva e Talita levou comida brasileira... e todos os legumes. A mãe da Rabea lembra até hoje e perguntou: “Quem é essa mulher que chegou com todos os vegetais?!”)

Ficamos apenas amigas por um tempo, mas a vida tinha outros planos. Em junho de 2021, Talita fez um estágio de uma semana no grupo de trabalho da Rabea durante sua formação como educadora. Foi uma semana linda, e seguimos em contato. E aí veio o karaokê.

Nós duas amamos karaokê. De verdade. De alma. No começo de 2023, passamos a nos encontrar quase toda segunda-feira no Monster Ronson’s em Berlim — tipo uma igreja, mas com glitter e Britney Spears. Nossa amizade floresceu ali, com cada música e cada apoio mútuo nos momentos difíceis. Alguns dos amigos das noites de segunda-feira estarão no nosso casamento!

E então, numa dessas noites... aconteceu. Estávamos na frente do palco, Toyin cantava Can’t Help Falling in Love, e as faíscas começaram a voar. Talita virou pra Rabea e perguntou: “Você tá pensando em me beijar?” Depois de risos e flertes sinceros... nos beijamos. Foi o primeiro beijo — e uma entao desconhecida (obrigada Julia!) até filmou a cena. Fogos de artifício, cena de filme, tudo. E mudou tudo.

Tentamos seguir como "só amigas", mas não deu. Em poucas semanas, já estávamos escalando juntas, viajando, passando cada vez mais tempo uma com a outra. Talita percebeu que o caminho que estava trilhando — casa, relacionamento hétero, planos de gravidez — não era mais dela. Ela se assumiu, terminou o relacionamento anterior, e se mudou. Era pra ser "só por uns dias"... e cá estamos.

Seguimos escalando juntas. Seguimos indo ao karaokê quase todas as segundas. E amamos nossa família de gatinhos — Mango e Zora, da Rabea, e Mia, da Talita (que agora vive com a gente, depois de uma jornada emocional de resgate). Chico, o outro gato da Talita, infelizmente desapareceu após ser temporariamente adotado. Ele vive em nossos corações.

E é isso: estamos construindo uma vida com canções, mãos com magnésio, carinho felino e um amor real. Mal podemos esperar para celebrar esse novo capítulo com vocês.

Wir haben uns 2020 kennengelernt – über Talitas Ex-Freund, der mit Rabea zusammenarbeitete und ab und zu mit ihr klettern ging. Damals war Rabea kurz vor iherer Hochzeit – und Talita hat sogar beim Hochzeitsbuffet gekocht! (Es war ein Mitbring-Buffet, Talita brachte brasilianisches Essen… und alle Gemüsesorten. Rabeas Mutter erinnert sich noch heute und fragte: „Wer ist diese Frau, die mit all dem Gemüse kommt?!“)

Zunächst waren wir einfach nur Freundinnen. Doch das Leben hatte andere Pläne. Im Juni 2021 machte Talita ein einwöchiges Praktikum in Rabeas Arbeitsgruppe während ihrer Ausbildung zur Erzieherin. Eine wunderbare Woche, die uns näherbrachte. Und dann kam Karaoke.

Wir lieben Karaoke. Wirklich. Spirituell fast. Anfang 2023 begannen wir, uns regelmäßig montags im Monster Ronson’s in Berlin zu treffen – ein bisschen wie Kirche, nur mit Glitzer und Britney Spears. Unsere Freundschaft wurde dort tiefer, mit jedem Lied und jeder unterstützenden Geste. Einige der Stammgäste vom Montag sind auch bei unserer Hochzeit dabei!

Und dann... geschah es. Wir standen vor der Bühne, Toyin sang Can’t Help Falling in Love, und da war dieser Moment. Talita fragte Rabea: „Denkst du gerade daran, mich zu küssen?“ Es wurde gelacht, geflirtet – und dann küssten wir uns. Unser erster Kuss – und zufällig von einer damals noch fremden Person gefilmt (danke Julia!!). Wie im Film, mit innerem Feuerwerk. Und es veränderte alles.

Wir versuchten, nur Freundinnen zu bleiben – aber das funktionierte nicht. Innerhalb weniger Wochen reisten wir zusammen, kletterten, verbrachten fast jede freie Minute miteinander. Talita spürte: der bisherige Weg – Haus, hetero Beziehung, Kinderwunsch – passte nicht mehr. Sie outete sich, beendete die alte Beziehung und zog ein. Eigentlich nur „für ein paar Nächte“… und tja – hier sind wir.

Wir klettern immer noch zusammen. Wir gehen fast jeden Montag zum Karaoke. Und wir lieben unsere Katzenfamilie – Mango und Zora (Rabeas zwei), und Mia (Talitas Katze, die nach einer intensiven Rettungsgeschichte jetzt bei uns lebt). Talitas anderer Kater, Chico, wird leider vermisst, nachdem er zwischenzeitlich weitervermittelt wurde. Er bleibt in unseren Herzen.

So stehen wir hier – mit Liedern, Kletterfingern, Katzenschnurren und echter Liebe. Und wir freuen uns riesig, diesen nächsten Schritt mit euch zu feiern.
