Talon and Chantel's love story is a beautiful journey that began long after the first time they met back in high school through mutual friends. Although they never had the chance to connect back then, fate had other plans. Years later, Talon discovered through a friend that Chantel was single and on Hinge. He spent three days swiping, determined to find her profile. On April 22nd, he struck up a conversation with the now-infamous "Hey!"—a line that worked wonders. Chantel, smitten, shared his profile with her friends, dubbing Talon "her future husband." The rest, as they say, is history. Their first date included ice cream and an impressive though accidental 4.5-mile walk that set the tone for a relationship built on adventure and laughter. On July 5th, 2022, they made it official, and the next chapter was filled with studying, homework, and the unwavering support of their relationship, even during the two periods of long-distance. Despite the miles, they stayed connected through countless phone calls, FaceTimes, and virtual movie dates. Talon’s clinical rotations took him 1,200 miles away, but love kept them close. Now living in Lincoln with their English Bulldog, Brixley, Talon and Chantel have both graduated and started their careers. On October 4th, 2024, Talon proposed, marking the next milestone in their shared journey. As they look ahead, they can't wait to celebrate their love on July 4th, surrounded by friends and family, as they continue to write their story together.
