Our Story of How We Rushed to the Alter

Once upon a time, there was a girl, her name was Tamara. She saw a boy, his name was Minshall. They worked at the same company together.

As luck would have it, they were both going thru personal and life changes and as the world works in mysterious ways they found each other.

Early days dating and working together while working weekends at Leslie Rosen catering. We started to do more things together while we were working thru life. From Minshall bringing Tamara a picnic lunch to enjoy a few stolen moments away, to selling glow lights, we started to develop deep feelings for each other.

In the fall of 2004 Tamara and her children, Chris and Crystal, came to live with Minshall and his children, Tyler and Brayden, in King of Prussia.

This is where life would start anew for the 2 of us. We became very involved with the school, between cooking for the teacher appreciation breakfast to helping out with the crew boosters, we became inseparable while at these events. This is also where we started to accrue friends, many of which make up the core of our lives.

As time went on, we took on more and more with work and grew the small installation business into a much larger endeavor that saw Tamara become the office while Minshall was the installer. Now we run this modest company together and spend our days and nights in entrepreneurial bliss. ((Also known as excessive stress, many heated “discussions” and way too many working dinners - often followed by steam releasing trips to the local bars!))

Minshall proposed to Tamara in 2009, it was heart felt and well received. We enjoyed an impromptu engagement party at the Rib House and were serenaded by Franny Beecher singing Elvis. Life was good.

We continued to work and grow the business together, raise 4 kids together, and dream and plan to one day build a house out on the Painter family property in Chester County. Since we had both had prior relationships and we had spent most of our efforts helping to raise kids, coaching, & growing a business, we felt that building the house and then having a grand party for our friends was something that screamed “us”.

In the spring on 2020, after years of township meetings, engineers, architects, etc, we were excited to finally sign the loan papers to start construction of our new home. We were visiting Crystal in SC when the world all but ended - COVID started. As a result the bank put a hold on small independent loans like the one we were trying to get.

Well we had already rented out the house in King of Prussia and started living off the grid in our weekend RV, a 34’ 5th wheel. What was planned to be about a 2 year stay ended up being over 5 years, with 2 dogs, a bunny and 4 squirrels living in this RV off the grid. 3500w generator gassed up every 8-12 hours, water trundled in 5gal at a time, propane for heat, hot spot and cell phones for internet. Absolute perfection!

Now here we are in 2025 ready to finally invite the hoard to celebrate our special day. This event is going to be held - ceremony & reception - at our property. The very same property that was brought into the family in the mid 1800’s. We will be honoring both Tamara’s Native American heritage as well as Minshall’s Quaker roots. We are happy to have so many of our close family and friends here to watch history be made. Especially since so many of you at one time or another thought we were already married!

Please plan to join us for joy, fun, food, drinks, entertainment and amazing conversations with our house and woods as the back drop for what is sure to be an amazing evening. You are all going to be treated to an event not just starring my beautiful bride saying I do, but also to a feast which she and I (ok mostly her) will be catering too! Going back to the start and brushing off the skills that we were using when we first met and fell in love.

Love to all - Minshall and Tamara.
