Can I bring a plus one?

No. We aren't allowing plus ones at our wedding as we'd like to keep the guest list intimate. The name of every guest invited is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated. We do hope you understand and respect our decision.

Are children allowed?

We love your kids!!! Unfortunately due to the venue we will NOT be able to accommodate children. Thank you for your understanding!

Are we allowed to record/take pictures?

The ceremony will be unplugged to allow the professionals to complete their paid duties. Besides that, we do encourage you to capture any moments that move you...respectfully!!!

Is there a dress code?

Wedding casual is fine! We will be cruising the lake for 3 hours so we encourage comfortable shoes and clothing. **Think: my best everyday look. Example; Ladies: loose, flowing dresses. Midi or mini sundress. Rompers or jumpsuits. Sandals or block heels. Gentlemen: linens or khaki pants. Blazer and jeans. Dress shirt and chinos. Please try to avoid flip flops and sneakers! We do hope these suggestions help!!!

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Both! The ceremony will be outdoors on the deck of the yacht while the cocktail lounge and reception will be indoors. Please be advised there will be stairs to climb and descend.

Will there be open bar?

No. There will be a cash bar. Please bring cash or card to purchase drinks.

All guests (including guests of honor) will need to present a physical ticket to board the vessel. Tickets will be given at the ticket booth right next to the vessel. Your name must match the name on the ticket. Upon boarding, guests will be greeted by the captain and all backpacks, bags, purses, etc are subject to search. Please be aware that boarding starts on time and we cannot wait for late guests. Early arrival is encouraged

Should I bring the invitation I received in the mail?

No. That is your keepsake! Tickets will be handed out at the booth next to the yacht. Please remember to retrieve it before boarding. YOU CANNOT BOARD WITHOUT A TICKET.

Do you have a gift registry?

We are not registered with any company. However, if you'd like to make a donation toward our honeymoon, you can do that under the registry tab of this website. There will also be a table for cards and gifts at the wedding. Thank you!

Will there be room blocks or hotel discounts?

No. The majority of our guests live in the city so we did not see the need. However, The Sable Hotel is located on the premises of Navy Pier and you are welcome to make your own accommodations there or close by.
