On April 12, 2023, Leon and Tanesha matched on a dating site. Leon messaged to ask a few questions, and Tanesha responded and asked a few questions of her own. Leon said he preferred to take the conversation offline and asked if she wouldn't mind talking over the phone. She agreed, and he sent over his number. The next morning, Tanesha called him on her drive into work, which was over an hour, and that call turned onto meeting her best friend and love. While talking, they discovered that their birthdays were one day apart, with his being the first. They both had birthday's shenanigans and scheduled for the next couple of weeks but continued to talk over the phone and FaceTime. While talking They both had roots in Mississippi- Leon parents and herself were all born and raised in Mississippi. He was born and raised in Chicago, but she didn't hold that against him because he was citified. (LOL) They were both single, never married, and had no children. Tanesha confessed that she prayed for and waited on a man who was respectful, responsible, consistent, and had a sense of humor. Leon fits that order. They finally agreed to meet face to face with Tanesha, inviting Leon over for a home cooked meal and drinks. He didn't know she had her male friends over to judge his character. Leon won them them over by being who he is. Everyone laughed a lot, and of course loved him. They all call him brother, and they usually hang out every couple of weeks for food, drinks, and card playing, even till today. From that day till now, Tanesha still loves cooking, and Leon enjoys . But, Tanesha confessed that she had to learn to cook and make his favorite foods that only Leon and Mom prepare, and that's a big task. Every day for them is full of love and laughs because they both are goofy and hilarious. They both believe they are comedians.
