As many do nowadays, James & I met online on the dating site Ok Cupid.

He got my attention with his response to the prompt "I'm probably better than you at cooking Haitian food." On June 13, 2022, he wrote that he could cook soup Joumou and I was immediately intrigued. We chatted daily until our first date on June 26, 2022 at The Coffee House. Our first date lasted for hours as the conversation flowed effortlessly. It was then, we both knew we were on to something special.

On Saturday July 9, 2022, while walking along the waterfront in Edgewater, James asked me to be his girlfriend. From then, our relationship continued to grow and deepen as we shared our goals for the future, went on countless dates, traveled together and became closer to each other's families.

James proposed on Saturday, February 11, 2023 after dinner, while walking along the same waterfront in Edgewater where he first asked me to be his girlfriend - truly a beautiful full-circle moment.

Since then, we've continued to love and support one another as we look forward to our special day when we become husband and wife.
