Our 8th grade DC trip! Tanner and I were inseparable! Tanner actually officially asked me to be his girlfriend on this trip! He had bought me a necklace that he picked out with his mom and was planning to give me a note that said " Will you be my girlfriend? Check yes or no!" He had planned it out with Emma, who was one of my roommates in the hotel. However, when he came to knock on my hotel door, Emma forgot the plan and ended up slamming the door in his face. He ended up sliding the note under the door. I read the note with the necklace and immediately checked yes. I ran back to his door, with my friends around the corner, and knocked. He opened it and I handed him the note, which was quickly snatched by his friends awaiting the answer. He gave me a giant hug and I ran down the hall to my girls. I was so excited.
