Abby and Tanner first met at a costume contest social between their fraternities and sororities, and were in the same group. Abby and her friends dressed Tanner to look like this! Tanner has no idea he’d be marrying “Abby R.” (In the bottom left corner) nearly five years after they met.

In 2022, Tanner and Abby starting hanging out in the same friend group. They became closer friends in 2023 through Greek Inter Varsity. They were both Bible Study leaders for their sororities and fraternities.

In September of 2023, Tanner and Abby started dating. A month later, they went on a double date with their friends Abby and Jesse, which was the first of a now annual trip to Uncle John's Orchard.

In 2024, Tanner and Abby make new memories. As they closed out their senior year at GVSU, they went to Miami, Florida, for spring break!

In 2025, a year after graduating, Tanner proposed to Abby on a trip in Orlando, Florida. Tanner proposed at Bok Tower Gardens.

Tanner surprised Abby by having her parents there for the special moment. They enjoyed a picnic in the gardens along with Tanners parents.

One month after the engagement, Tanner and Abby had loved ones over to celebrate with an engagement party!
