Our Wedding

Tanny and Will started chatting on Hinge in November 2019. When they decided to meet for a date, Will suggested meeting on a Monday to get the week started off right. The two met at a local brewery and hit it off! Since then, Will and Tanny have enjoyed exploring Colorado, hiking, learning (Will) and re-learning (Tanny) how to ski, brewery hopping, and attempting to understand the other's hobbies. Will has taken Tanny to hockey and soccer games, and he has joined Tanny at the barn. Tanny's two cats also enthusiastically adopted Will as "Cat Dad." Together, they have traveled in Colorado and beyond, including Portugal, Belgium, and Germany. Will proposed on a bluebird day in Breckenridge, Colorado, after a morning on the mountain. Tanny said a very quick yes! The two can't wait to continue their life together.

Our Story

Nicole and Tanny lived at the same apartment in downtown Denver when they were both relatively recently out of law school.  The two bonded over the trials and tribulations of being new lawyers, as well as Nicole's adorable dog Pace.  Nicole has been a wonderful friend through life changes.

Brina and Tanny have known each other since the age of 10, when they were both riding ponies.  They grew up together, traveling to local and regional horse shows and becoming fast friends.  This friendship has continued into adulthood.  But some things never change, and the two can still talk all horse-related things for hours.

Maggie and Tanny met at Colgate University.  They initially met through rushing the same sorority, and their friendship grew after being roommates during one summer in college.  After that, they have always been able to reach out and pick up where they left off.

Dave and Will met in a soccer bar when they were living in St. Petersburg, Florida.  They started commiserating over a disappointing U.S. soccer game.  After they both moved out of Florida, they remained good friends.  Will was in Dave's wedding, and they have visited each other several times, across different parts of the country.

Sean and Will met playing rec league soccer in Denver, and Sean is always the first to let Will know about a pickup game or new league!  Their friendship continues through a shared enjoyment of all things soccer, brewery hopping in Denver, and travel.

Bob is Will's older brother and, coincidentally, has known Will his entire life.  Bob was always a role model, and Will followed his path through high school and college, when both attended the University of South Carolina (go Gamecocks!).  Although neither lives in South Carolina anymore, they still follow USC's football team with hope and disappointment each year.

What are the dinner options?

Dinner will be served buffet-style, with several options. There will also be vegan and vegetarian options upon request. Please also e-mail Tanny (tanya.sevy@gmail.com) with any dietary restrictions beforehand.

What are transportation options?

Parking at Della Terra is limited. Parking is allowed overnight at Della Terra's property, which allows for carpooling. We will have a shuttle bus. Pickup locations will be at a public parking lot in downtown Estes Park, the Fawn Valley Inn, and the McGregor Mountain Lodge at the following times: 2:15 pm: pick-up at public parking lot at 335 E. What is the attire?

The ceremony and reception are cocktail attire. Please keep in mind that we are in the mountains, and the weather can change quickly, especially at this time of year! Our ceremony is outside (with an inclement weather alternative), so please make sure to bring something warm.

Is there a welcome party?

Yes! We are having a welcome party at Ed's Cantina, located at 390 E. Elkhorn Avenue, Estes Park, Colorado, 80517. The welcome party is from 6-9 pm on Friday evening, with buffet-style Mexican food and drinks. Dress is casual. Please stop by if you're in town!

Travel

From Out-of-State: Denver International Airport is the closest large airport. It is a 1.5-2 hour drive from Estes Park. There is a shuttle service from DIA to Estes Park, as well as rental cars. Estes Park Shuttle: DIA to Estes Park: departures at 10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, and 7 pm. Estes Park to DIA: 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm Book reservations at www.estesparkshuttle.com or call (970) 586-5151. From Denver and Surrounding Area: Estes Park is also a 1.5-2 hour drive from Denver, Fort Collins, and several mountain towns.

Although we do not have a hotel block, the following hotels are nearby and have good availability:

McGregor Mountain Lodge is near our venue. Cabins are available at the McGregor Mountain Lodge for two nights. Call the above number and reference the Sevy/Jackman wedding to book.

Fawn Valley Inn is near the venue, as well as the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Guests can make reservations for either one- or two-night stays.

The Holiday Inn is near the downtown area of Estes Park. It is not as close to the venue, but guests can still enjoy the town and lake.

Estes Park also has a golf course, marina, and opportunities to bike around town.
