Q + A

The nearest parking lot can be found on Yorkville Ave., a block north and slightly west of the restaurant.

Book your accommodations early as this is the first weekend of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and hotels will fill up fast!

Your best bet for affordable accommodation is probably Air BnB. Consider finding something in the East end (near us!) instead of near the venue since it will be more affordable. We are at Danforth and Coxwell but anywhere near Danforth, Bloor or Yonge makes for very easy transit around the city (TTC) but there are streetcars and buses everywhere.

Air BnB

If taking the TTC, get off at Bay station and exit through the Bay street exit. The restaurant will be just South of the station on the other side of the street.

If you're flying in from out of town and need to get into the city the UP Express goes straight from the airport to downtown where you can catch the TTC, taxi or Lyft to your final destination. One way adult tickets are $12.70 to downtown.

The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is one of the largest art museums in North America. The AGO’s collection of close to 95,000 works ranges from cutting-edge contemporary art such as Untilled by Pierre Huyghe to European masterpieces such as Peter Paul Rubens’s The Massacre of The Innocents; from the vast collection by the Group of Seven to works by established and emerging Indigenous Canadian artists; with a photography collection that tracks the impact of the medium with deep holdings of works by artists such as Garry Winogrand and Diane Arbus; and with focused collections in Gothic boxwood miniatures and Western and Central African art. Drawing on this collection—as well as collaborations with museums around the world—the AGO presents wide-ranging exhibitions and programs, taking special care to showcase diverse and underrepresented artists. A major expansion designed by Frank Gehry in 2008 with lead support from the family of Ken Thomson makes the AGO a highly-photographed architectural landmark.

Another option for a nice day, head down to "The Beaches". Just south of where we live are some great beaches with volley ball courts, food stands and a board walk to stroll along.

What used to be the location of numerous distillers in Toronto, was transformed by architects into a dining, shopping and entertainment hub. What you will find is a dramatic fusion of old and new. An inspired blend of Victorian Industrial architecture and stunning 21st century design and creativity. The result is an internationally acclaimed village of one-of-a-kind stores, shops, galleries, studios, restaurants, cafes, theatres and more.
