Adam and Tara first met in August of 2017 at Mercer University when Adam was a sophomore and Tara was a freshman. After a few dates, an 18 credit hour semester (Adam), two jobs (Tara), pledgeship (once again, Adam), and an attempted relationship, it didn't work out. While neither of them said it, the two secretly never doubted they would reconnect in the future.

In the Winter of 2020, after the world shut down, there was one place we could count on being open.... Margarita's of Mercer Village. Adam went to Margs with some friends, and Tara was the bartender that night. After making fun of Adam for ruining the first relationship, his friends invited Tara out to hang out with them that night. After several movie nights at Coleman Avenue, a few dates, and Vikram asking Tara, "So what are you and Adam?" the two started dating again on February 6th (or 7th, depending on who you ask).

After moving Tara across state lines to Charlotte, North Carolina, Adam proposed to Tara where it all started, Mercer University, across the road from Coleman Avenue, on March 18, 2023.

Tara and Adam got the chance to move back to home, so in August of 2023 the couple moved back to Macon, where they plan to stay.
