Our Wedding

It all started with a poke. A friendship created over walks on the pier and thousands of facetimes molded into two people finding not only themselves but also their soulmates. Solidified with a heart attack [Kyle], a leap of faith career switch, a major fibroid surgery [Tara] and the entrance into entrepreneurship we have definitely tested the boundaries of commitment.﻿

We have lived in Texas for going on 4 years now and life has been adventurous and transforming. As we have had time to learn more about each other, our families, our values &amp; what we live to be important seems to unfold in many similar ways. These last few years have seemed more like two souls finding each other once again as well as our families reconnecting after centuries.

As we have chosen to take this journey to another level, we do it with a clear focus in mind. With aspirations of building generational wealth, reconnected with our ancestries and working to someday be able to help our family and those around us.&nbsp;

With Kyle’s help I was able to create two graphic tee shirt companies, attain my notary license and we are both working on our mortgage licenses. With my support and the guidance of his mentor Earl Gordon, Kyle is three years into working on opening his own insurance agency appointed by the top insurance company in the Nation. Our future is, without question, a progressive one. In lieu of gifts we are asking for investments| donations to help secure the things we see for our family and our future.&nbsp;

With all that said (and what were literally busy doing) our wedding isn’t by the book traditional. We know it is impossible (at this moment in time) to have everyone attend our ceremony but appreciate all the love &amp; support that continues to flow our way. We have thought of the next best thing for a front row seat &amp; that is an invitation to a live stream of our wedding. We will be sending out "Save the dates" soon. So those who cant be in attendance wont miss out. So get your tissue ready, pick out what you're going to wear because either way its a turn up!

One of my first "adult" friends. I remember the day & how our journey began. We've even started a business together & I was blessed to be her 1st born's Godmother.  My travel buddie, we keep each other on our toes for sure.

Talk about family.  Our dads have been best friends so this was destined. From pony tails and pancake filled slumber parties to day parties and music festivals, its always a vibe. Crazy to think we'll have the same last name so now were really cousins.

There aren't many people I still talk to from high school but this one right here, is as classic as Love & Basketball. There are so many stories between the two of us. There are relationships in life that teach you the value of irreplaceable things. I definitely continue to learn the value and blessings that each of us bring to the table.

Realizing the impressions you may have on the youth as well as seeing how someone grows into the person you see in front is a beautiful process. Being able to call someone in your family and really just talk about the real is so dope. My cousin continues to make me reflect on who I want to show the world I am as a woman.

A friend that is always ready to jump, run, dance, fight, laugh or cry with no questions asked is a MUST! To be able to look back and know through thick and thin, how much we have grown individually and together. Some friends blur the line of family and friends like no other.

Getting to know my future sister has been dope. You wonder if you going to get along with your future spouses siblings, what will your relationship be like, will you guys have a lot in common? The fact that we're both older sisters, our birthdays two days apart; I couldn't ask for a better set up. God definitely looks out for all angles of a situation.

In My Life you play so many roles; older brother, mentor, dad.  As the man of the house, growing up you have taught me so much in life and continue to everyday.
