FAQs

What should I wear?

The dress is daytime semi-formal/dressy casual. St. Augustine is the oldest city, which means the streets are pretty old as well, which usually isn't the best for walking in heels. Our venue is outdoors and a mixture of cobblestone, brick, and grass. Also, we know most of you are coming from the north and are excited to get out of the cold, but just a heads up to check the weather before leaving. The nights in North Florida can drop down to the 40s/50s depending on the weather.

Are kids welcome?

We love kids! All kids are welcome to the ceremony, but unfortunately, due to venue size limits we are unable to invite kids to the reception. If you are visiting from out of town and need a babysitter, please let me know. I have a whole team of lacrosse players ready and willing to help!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will start at 2pm. The church will be open to come in and find a seat starting at 1pm.

How do I get to the ceremony?

For those of you staying in downtown St. Augustine, the Cathedral Basillica is right there and an easy walk. If you are staying outside of the downtown area, fear not! There are tons of transportation options in town. Your best bet is to either Uber or take an Explore Golf Cart ride from your hotel or rental house. Parking is limited and difficult to find, especially on the weekends, but there is on street parking and a parking garage within walking distance of the church.

How do I get to the reception?

After we tie the knot, there will be an Old Town Trolley (one of those green ones you'll see all over town) picking up all our friends and family to bring them to our reception at the Oldest House.

When will the reception end and how do I make my way back home?

The reception will end at 9pm, but hopefully the party will continue on to the bars in St. Augustine. We plan to walk back to downtown from the Oldest House (4/10 of a mile), but if your feet are hurting from all that dancing, we will have cards out for the Explore Trolleys to come pick you up.

Should I bring cash for the bar?

The bar is open till we run out of your drink of choice, at which point you will need switch to something different. And please, remember to tip your bartenders.
