How to get to Key West?

The easiest way to get to Key West is by flying directly into Key West International Airport (EYW), with flights available from American Airlines, Delta, United, JetBlue, and Allegiant. Once you arrive, it's just a quick 5-10 minute ride to Old Town Key West. There's no need to rent a car—Uber and Lyft are convenient options for getting around!

Air + Land

For our adventurous friends, you can fly into Fort Lauderdale (FLL) or Miami (MIA), rent a car, and enjoy the scenic drive to Key West. The drive along the Overseas Highway (US1), which takes about 3 hours, is considered one of the most beautiful drives in the world, offering stunning views of the Florida Keys.

How to get around?

WALK/BIKEKey West is a very small island. You can expect to walk or bike to most places. There are bike rental locations available throughout the island as well at most hotels. GOLF CART/SCOOTERSGolf carts and scooters are a FUN way to get around and can be rented from multiple locations and hotels on the island. CARThere is truly NO need to rent a car on this island, unless of course you choose to rent and drive from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. RIDE SHARE (UBER/LYFT)Uber and Lyft are readily available and inexpensive way to get around (rides are generally 5-10 mins).

Duval Street

The heart of Key West and the ultimate hotspot... SHOP, EAT, &amp; DRINK 'til you drop (literally)! It’s where you’ll find shops, bars, and all the fun you can handle!

Mallory Square

Mallory Square is the ultimate spot to catch the sunset! Every evening, it comes alive with a Sunset Celebration featuring street performers, art vendors, and local food carts. Don’t forget to explore the charming shops in the area too!

Southernmost Point of the Continental U.S.

This is the spot marking the Southernmost Point of the Continental U.S.—aka the closest point to Cuba! Head there in the morning to snap your photo and avoid the crowds!

The Hemingway Home and Museum

Definitely stop by the famous Ernest Hemingway Home. You can walk through the gardens, check out the house where he lived and wrote, and see the famous 6-toed cats. It’s a fun spot to hear some cool stories about his time here!

Conch Train Tour

The Conch Tour Train is an authentic way to experience the history and culture of Key West. This 90-minute fully narrated tour covers around five hundred years of local history and over one hundred points of interest.

Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park

Fort Zachary Taylor, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1973, is Florida’s southernmost state park, known equally for its U.S. military history and present-day recreational activities. The state park is located at 601 Howard England Way and is nestled on the edge of Florida’s sun-kissed coastlines offering picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Truman Little White House

Under doctor's orders, President Harry S. Truman sought refuge in the warm Florida sun during the winter of 1946. He fell so much in love with the historic Key West home in which he took residence that he returned every year through 1952, giving it the nickname "The Little White House."
