Picture this: You arrive at the last home game of the season during your freshman year of college at the University of South Alabama.

Excited about the game, you head over to the Kappa Alpha tent, the only fraternity that was hosting a tailgate that day instead of staying home and studying for finals, but on the way over you split your knee open attempting to step over a trailer hitch in your dress. Have no fear, you look up and a handsome stranger has come to your rescue by awkwardly shoving an entire package of napkins towards you to clean up your wound.

Well, that's how I met Brandon. We became instant friends and after a few months couldn't ignore the fact that we were meant to be more. We survived three years of long distance while Brandon was in law school at Cumberland and survived finally moving in together in the middle of a pandemic. Six years of dating later, here we are.

Now that we share a dog and a home address, the only thing we don't share is a last name. Time to officially become The Lawsons!
