The year was 2015. Kent moved from Houston all the way out to Midland, TX. As he started to meet people and make friends, he met many from his local church, including Tara. Starting up their freshman year. PHOTO

At first, Tara was pretty apprehensive of Kent, he was filling the new boy on the block roll pretty well. Everyone seemed to talk about him, and that dang Australian accent. How annoying.

This continued into their before-school bible study class, called Seminary. There they had a bitter rivalry between their teams, Kokaubeam and the Golden Pineapples. In Seminary and other church get togethers, they slowly got to know each other better.

The middle of their sophomore year, there was an impactful change. Their church changed it's boundaries, leaving basically only Tara and Kent as the older youth in the church. This turned out to be a good thing! Kent and Tara became good friends throughout the year, even with Kent asking Tara on her first date! PHOTO

The date was disastrous. Kent tried to organize a double date as friends, but things just kept falling through. They made probably the worst tasting pretzels imaginable. Luckily, they all left as friends!

Come junior year, the highlight between them was when Tara asked Kent to prom. They were both so awkward, but had fun just going as friends. PHOTO

By senior year, Kent and Tara had become best friends. Whether by circumstance or decision, they always seemed to have each other's backs or someone to talk to release their pressure valve. They even had their graduation party together at Kent's house! PHOTO

The next major decision for both of them was where to go to college, and they both ended up deciding to go to Texas A&M! Whoop!! (Coincidentally Kent locked in his decision just a week or so after Tara..)PHOTO
