Tara and Andrew here!

Our story is a true love story for the digital age. Both a dating app and Instagram were involved in bringing us together. Our first in-person interaction was over snow cones in North Dallas. Conversation flowed easily until Tara told Andrew the power had gone out in a movie theater where she was watching the last Avengers movie (in the middle of a very suspenseful scene, no less) and he insisted they go to the movie theater right then and there! The next day, Andrew set up a popcorn machine for his church and brought Tara some, a few days later Tara made dinner, and from there on out we happily continued getting to know each other over the next several months. 9 months and 9 proposal plans later (thank you, COVID-19) Andrew proposed!

A little about Andrew (by Tara): Andrew has a deep love of all things nerdy—he once talked about building Pathfinder characters for an entire hour-long hike. He gets deeply involved in hobbies—from succulents to fish tanks. He has more school spirit than even some of the Aggies I know (shocking!). If everything in his life from home decor to clothing could be OSU orange (America's Brightest Orange), it would be. Most importantly though, he deeply loves the Lord, his family and friends. He puts so much time and energy into learning about God and helping bring that to others in his life. He has the best smile and is always ready to be a little goofy (such a good contrast to my frequent seriousness). He is a wonderful listener and will patiently listen to me talk about anything, even if it's far from being a topic he's interested in. He encourages me all the time in everything from my job to my walk with the Lord. I'm so excited for him to be my partner in life!

A little about Tara (by Andrew): Tara has a deep passion for paper and anything aesthetically pleasing. She knows how to make muted colors pop and how mature orange looks better than America’s Brightest Orange (in some cases). She knows how to make anything happen and is one of the most driven people ever. She loves the Lord with all her heart and loves her friends deeply. She makes anyone feel comfortable in a moment with a kind word and caring gesture. She asks great questions because she truly cares about people and making them feel welcome and safe. She makes me want to be better every day because she is an amazing child of God from her devotional times, prayer routines, and Bible journal. I want to love her well because she loves everyone around her so well. I can’t wait to spend my life with Tara.

That's a little about us! After the wedding, Tara will be joining Andrew in Blue Springs, MO (a suburb of Kansas City) where he is starting a job as an associate pastor at a local church.
