Even though Tara and Daniel both taught religious ed. at the Newman center for many months before they had met, their paths did not officially intersect until April of 2022 while they were on a mission trip to St. Ann's in Belcourt, ND.

It was there that they started to grow in friendship and for the following four months after, Tara's and Daniel's friendship grew. It didn't take long for Tara to grow to greatly admire Daniel's humor, kindness, and thoughtfulness, and after many late night walks around campus and few dates later, Daniel asked to make it official.

Fast forward a year and a half later, Daniel asked Tara to marry him at a park near her home town where she happily gave him her "yes."
