Taryn and Dylan first met in the summer of 2016 when Dylan was a junior in college, spending the summer traveling the country coaching basketball day camps. Those camps brought Dylan to Pierz, MN where Taryn was a senior in high school. To her, Dylan was the "cute, college boy basketball coach". To him, Taryn was the "cute but very stubborn girl who couldn't (or wouldn't) use her left hand". He claims he was happy when the camp was over so he would never have to "tolerate that attitude" again.

Fast forward to the fall of 2017 when their paths crossed again at the College of St. Scholastica where Dylan was a senior, playing basketball, and studying business management. Taryn was a freshman, a member of the track team, and studying exercise physiology/ pre-physical therapy. The two didn't interact much during the one year they went to the same college aside from passing in the halls and exchanging shy smiles.

Fast forward another 5 years when they finally reconnected and finally admitted they both developed crushes at basketball camp back in 2016. They went on their first date at Starry Eyed Brewing in Little Falls, MN (which is still one of their favorite date night spots) and the rest is history!
