Our Wedding

Our first meeting was the height of romance: on Tinder, in the midst of the pandemic (October 1, 2020). We had our first distanced date in the park, during a rainy and cold October evening. Somehow, we still hit it off We got to know each other, had many at-home dates (making pretzels, playing board games, watching movies), and couldn't get enough. On July 1, 2021 we moved in together (and Jude became Kiki's second parent); we also had our first "real" date at a restaurant that same month! We fell more and more in love, and got engaged on July 2, 2022 while camping in The Massassauga Provincial Park We are so excited for you to join us as we write a new chapter in our lives

Your presence is a present to us! We are so thankful that you are helping us celebrate our love and commitment to each other. If you would like to give us a wedding gift, we are lucky to have most of what we need in terms of material goods. You will see "You &amp; Guest" when you RSVP through this website if we have invited you and a guest. What weather should I expect?Expect daytime temperatures around 18°C to 24 °C, nighttime temperatures 13°C to 18°C. There will be a coat rack available for our guests to keep their jackets safe while they dance.Festivities will be indoors, so don't worry if it rains. What do I wear?Dress code is "Dressy Casual". See the image below for more information; if you Google that term, it will also give you a good idea of the vibe.

Getting to the Venue:

Via Public Transit (TTC): Propeller is conveniently located a very short walk (200m) from the Lansdowne subway station located on the corner of Wade Avenue and Lansdowne Avenue. From Bloor and Lansdowne, head north on Lansdowne and turn left on Wade Avenue (it is a small side street). Propeller is just around the corner. Via Car: The parking lot next to the venue (to the south) is property of Propeller and guests are allowed to park there and on the street (see street signs for parking restrictions) for free. Additionally, there is a (paid) Green P parking lot located on the East side of Lansdowne Avenue at Wade Avenue

Getting Into the City from the Airport:

While Toronto's Billy Bishop Airport (YTC) is close to the city, you'll likely be flying into Pearson Airport (YYZ). Instructions for Pearson (YYZ)1. Taxis &amp; Limos: when you exit the airport, there will be a line for taxis and limos at every exit that can take you into the city for a flat rate that varies by neighbourhood. Licensed taxis and limos do not pick up passengers inside the terminals or parking garages (they pick up from designated outdoor areas only). Airport limos are premium black cars and charge approximately 10% more than a taxi 2. Uber &amp; Lyft: you can order an Uber or Lyft to pick you up at specific locations in each terminal. Terminal 1: Ground Level, Door Q or P. Terminal 3: Arrivals Level, Door D 3. UP Express: the UP Express runs every 30 minutes and can take you into the city (Union Station and a few stops along the way) for $12.35 per person in 25 minutes. It is located in Terminal 1, directly adjacent to the Link Train service linking Terminals 1 and 3 Instructions for Billy Bishop (YTC):1. Shuttle Bus: There's a free shuttle bus that will take you to Downtown Toronto near Union Station. This will link you with public transit (GO and TTC). 2. Stay at a Toronto AirBnBHave a look on <a href="https://www.airbnb.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Air BnB</a> for affordable and homey Toronto stays!&nbsp;This is probably your best bet for finding quality accommodation near the venue (or near downtown Toronto, if you'd prefer that) for a reasonable price.

Stay at the Drake Hotel or GladstoneFor stays that are a 10 minute drive from the venue (and a 10 minute walk from Taryn and Jude's place), <a href="https://www.thedrake.ca/thedrakehotel/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Drake Hotel</a> and the <a href="https://www.gladstonehouse.ca/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Gladstone House</a> are trendy options.

Stay at a Hotel in TorontoThere are cheaper hotel options in the downtown core. If you are planning to take public transit to the wedding, finding a place on/near Bloor Street would be ideal (this will give you easy access to the subway which goes directly to our venue). If not, prioritizing places in the west end of the city would make sense (since our venue is quite far west, near High Park).
