His given name is William Harvey, and he calls himself Will, but he allows his friends to call him Aussie. Paul met him in middle school and watched him play hours of Civ II. Their friendship was born and honed through games of board and ball. Like family, they'll always be there for each other.

Fan is the person who Paul goes to for any relationship advice, not necessarily because it's good advice, but because it's freely and warmly given. He's also the type of person who will do something incredibly considerate, but bury it beneath wood and glass, only to be realized in the corridors between planes when a bag is dropped and the first layer of a gift shatters.

A hermit by nature, Hannah is a light that illuminates all those around her. Nice enough to keep quiet when you stubbornly refuse to change, but tough enough to tell you that you never should have had that shaggy beard, damnit! If there was one person Paul trusts to translate for him, it's Hannah.

When Paul needed a person to be there for him, Steve stepped up. Caring and devoted to his family, he is the person Paul can yell at and curse without fear of retribution. While Steve could crush Paul like a worm, he opts for joy and talking about PE instead. Without Steve, Paul never would have met Taryn, and so he owes Steve. Consider the debt paid, Steve!

The brother of the bride. He goes by many names, but to Taryn he is Zack. She has looked up to him her whole life for his intelligence, creativity, humor, and fierce love. She is extremely grateful to have him standing up with her on her wedding day.

Jess and Taryn met in grad school where they quickly bonded over their love of theater and music. Their greatest hits include singing "For Good" in Jess' parents' wine cellar, sobbing together at "Dear Evan Hansen", and taking long walks around Jess' school talking about anything and everything.

Kelly and Taryn met in grad school where they fell in love carpooling to their student teaching placements each day. Their relationship was strengthened through concentrated apartment trolling, Thursday night concerts an hour away, and forcing book clubs on their friends.

Grace and Taryn met in grad school. She is responsible for giving Paul Taryn's number in the first place. Their similar temperaments made them easy friends. Their relationship blossomed as they discussed their many shared interests: kittens, critiquing historical fiction, trivia based board games, etc.

Erik would like everyone to know that he has been there since day one for Paul and Taryn. He has been taking good care of them for about three years. He keeps them well fed, well drunk, and well played. They look forward to fact checking him after the ceremony.
