No. Since our ceremony is actually going to take place in Ireland, we don't feel the need to replicate it here. However, we do still want to celebrate with our loved ones, so we are having the Pre-Wedding Bash here in Colorado.

In western Pennsylvania tradition, which began during the Great Depression, loved ones prepare cookies in advance and have a whole table full of them. It was meant to be more affordable than a cake, and a way for loved ones to be involved. We prefer cookies to cake, so we're having a cookie table anyway! If you can't make it to the party, or don't want to deal with cooking or bringing cookies, it would be really special if you could share your favorite cookie recipe with us anyway :)
