Our Wedding

Well it all&nbsp;started back in the fall of 2015 when two unassuming yo-pros in Charlotte swiped right on an app called "Bumble" - and what do ya know, it was a match! We chatted for a few weeks and went on our first date at a nearby bar, named&nbsp;Nan & Byron's.&nbsp;

On the date, we hit it off instantly. We talked about our careers, our families, our hometowns (yikes, he's a yinzer), and our interests. We share&nbsp;so many things in common that we talked for hours and felt more like old friends than awkward first daters. It was safe to say the first date went well and the rest is history!&nbsp;

How it Began...

It started out&nbsp;as a usual, busy Monday. I was rushing around all day, tying up all the loose ends before Ryan and I left for vacation on Wednesday.&nbsp;I&nbsp;told our friend,&nbsp;Vanessa about a week prior that I would accompany her to a work function since her husband couldn't make it. I get home from work&nbsp;with about 7 minutes to spare, so I frantically dry shampoo my hair, throw on a dress and head out the door.

As Vanessa and I are walking to the event, she lets me know the rest of the team is running late and that we "obviously can't be the first ones" to the party. As fate would have it, we are walking by my FAVORITE wine bar and I suggested we grab a "personality drink."&nbsp;

Little did I know that a very handsome face and a very adorable, freshly groomed pupper face would be there to greet me. I was in complete shock - it was a Monday, Ryan had a very convincing alibi, WHY is Vanessa such a good liar??&nbsp;

Buggie was sitting right next to her&nbsp;dad with a sign that said, "Mommy, will you marry Daddy?" Ryan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. That was the easiest question I have ever answered. We celebrated with lots of&nbsp;champagne and our closest Charlotte friends in my favorite spot in the city.&nbsp; I couldn't have planned a more perfect proposal.&nbsp;

Charlotte's Best Bars + Restaurants - a Definitive List by Ryan & Taryn

So as many of you know, there are few things we enjoy more as a couple than trying new restaurants and cocktails. The main reason we decided to get hitched in our city is so we could share a slice of our lives with all the people we love. Please take some time to explore Charlotte while you are here and enjoy!&nbsp;

- Dilworth Tasting Room. This is where we got engaged and truly has the best little patio in the city.&nbsp;Their food is great and 1/2 off select wine bottles on Thursday evenings.&nbsp;The charcuterie board&nbsp;is amazing.&nbsp;

 



- Yamazaru. We are regulars here and it may even contend for Ryan's favorite Charlotte restaurant.&nbsp;It's a small sushi spot with a couple of breweries nearby.&nbsp;Get the stir-fried green beans and the Crystal Rainbow Roll. Do it. You won't regret it.

 



- The Suffolk Punch. This place is a brewery, coffee bar, and restaurant, aka heaven on earth. Check out the back patio or enjoy all of the greenery inside.

 



- Superica.&nbsp;The bougiest mexican - for you Ohioans, think Nada, but more delish. Highly recommend making a meal out of a fancy marg&nbsp;and queso.&nbsp;

 



- Seoul Food Meat Co. KOREAN. BBQ. WINGS. Get both the soy garlic and the bbq. These are gigantic and crispy and so good. They have a nice outdoor bar and have housemade fruit beers that pair very well with wings.&nbsp;

 



- Leroy Fox. Okay, so just keeping it real, their Friday and Saturday night playlists are legit. The music selection will&nbsp;remind&nbsp;the&nbsp;millennials of their time at college coupled with some craft cocktails so you know you've graduated.&nbsp;

 



- Tupelo Honey. BRUNCH. Expect a wait, but you'll sure know you're in the South here. The biscuits, the grits, the carbs. This place will cure any hangover you may have. Also, the mega-mosa may be the best mimosa deal going. $9 for a pint of mimosa. I'm in.&nbsp;
