In February of 2022. after finally gaining the courage, Nick approached Taryn at their school gym and asked for her number, and Taryn said yes! They went on movie dates and frequented the local coffee shops of Riverside, and they quickly became best friends. After a few weeks of dating, they finally became official!

Throughout their relationship, they have developed a shared love for the beach, coffee shops, sushi, traveling, and serving at their local church, The Grove! After two amazing years of endless laughter, inside jokes, late nights out with friends, and many (many) shared Instagram Reels, Nick decided to propose!

On their second anniversary, Nick proposed at their favorite beach, Laguna. They went to their favorite coffee spot and sat on the beach together. As they walked to dinner (or what Taryn thought was dinner), Nick led her to Diamond Street beach, where a sign that said "Marry Me" illuminated the shore. As she was full of tears and joy, Taryn said yes to the easiest question of her life!
