Our Wedding

This is a little story about farmer Taryn and a lawyer Timothy getting married. It was the early fall of 2024 in Oklahoma City. “Do I know you from somewhere?” Taryn was making some flowers in the hallway of Harvey Bakery and humming a song when Tim just ran around the hallway corner and asked that not so cliche question. There were a few more words from Tim but he mostly used American Sign Language and quirky facial expressions. Taryn kinda understood the vibes and was very intrigued with all the oddity and eccentricity. Phone numbers were…not exchanged. Taryn worked as a florist, bakery manager, and full-time dog mom for her precious baby cakes, Teddie May (who can do no wrong). Tim just passed the Oklahoma Bar Exam and realized other possibilities existed after a “loving” full-time relationship with books, caffeine, and an imaginary pet dog named Finally It’s Over. “Guess I’ll see you later.” Tim ran out knowing he had a solid bathroom stop and place to eat. Taryn and her besties were like “who was that.” Taryn was intrigued. Two months passed and It looked like Taryn and Tim would maybe cross paths again. Taryn kept working at the bakery and as a florist. Tim got a lawyering job. It was 7:30 in the morning on a brisk December day. Tim walked into the bakery again and there she was—Taryn. Tim got some coffee and something else… “Write your number down and bring it with the coffee.” Taryn thought about saying no but her friends were like we will give him your number. Taryn finally decided to give Tim her number on a sticky note. Tim was fired up and said he would call her sometime soon. After the first date everything started flowing smoothly. Tim asked Taryn to be his girlfriend after one week and then dipped out the next day. He thought it was best to play hard to get by not messaging Taryn for over a week during Christmas. Taryn was chill about it. From January 2025 to March 2025, Taryn and Tim went on all kinds of cool dates: Antique shopping, vibing coffee shops (Clarity Coffee is amazing) random hikes, pickle ball, long walks with Teddie May, and Church. What about the ring? Tim finally connected some dots and realized he needed to ask Taryn a special question. Taryn was thinking about when Tim would connect any dots. Tim decided It was time to ask Taryn’s dad, Terry, for the family engagement ring and blessing to marry his precious Sunshine. Terry said yes! Thursday, May 22, 2025. This was the big day. All of Taryn’s amazing friends and loving mom, Erica, were at Taryn’s new house decorating for a party. Not just any party. This was the engagement party. Taryn was looking for some “Clarity” and Tim knew just how to give it. Taryn and one of her besties, Sam, were taking a walk. Suddenly, Tim jumped out from the steps of Frontline Church. Taryn immediately knew what was gonna happen. Tim told Taryn how perfect, sweet, and beautiful she is and that he was looking for some “clarity.” He asked four big words: “Will You Marry Me?” We are so grateful for all the family and community that has walked with us during this special season of life. We are so excited to celebrate with y’all on August 16!
