Our reception will be a heartfelt celebration, rich with love, culture, and meaningful traditions. We will honor the bride’s Sudanese heritage with the Jirtig, a traditional blessing ceremony performed in vibrant cultural attire. We will also celebrate the groom’s African American roots through the time-honored tradition of Jumping the Broom, symbolizing the beginning of our shared life together. Additionally, the Sand Ceremony will represent the blending of our lives and cultures together into one.
