Austin and Tasha met on Tinder in 2019. His bio said that he was a "single plant dad". As they started to get to know each other, Austin revealed he only watered his mom's plants sometimes, A great start for Austin.

They met for the first time at Big Earl's Greasy Eats in Cave Creek. They talked and laughed until the restaurant closed. Even though they did not make their relationship official until June of 2019, after this first meeting Tasha knew that Austin was the one. It took Austin a little bit longer.

During a camping trip in July of 2020 while attempting to gain some sanity amongst the pandemic, Austin’s appendix burst and he had to have emergency surgery. The way Tasha handle the situation and supported him through it solidified for him that Tasha was the one. The beginning of “in sickness and in health”.

They moved in together in May of 2021 after Tasha purchased a house and did a month of renovations with the help of friends and family. Shortly after this, they traveled to Alaska together, their first plane trip together. This gave Austin a better understanding of how Tasha came to be the person she is.

The next few months were full of the ups and downs of life – Austin embarked on the journey to getting his Master. They decided to add to the family and adopted a dog together - Phoenix. Phoenix and Tundra rounded out the perfect family. Phoenix was diagnosed with bone cancer and passed in September of 2023. Austin completed his degree in May of this year.

In May 2023, Austin proposed to Tasha at the summit of Haleakalā in Maui. She hurried him through asking so she could say yes.

This is not the entire story of a partnership but just the beginning of a lifelong commitment. They will embark on the next step of their journey in September. Please join them in celebrating their love story on November 2nd, 2024.
