Chris and Tasha met on the campus of Chabot Community College through a mutual friend. From that point on the two would hug every time they saw each other. Their love story wouldn't really begin until early 2018.
Once both Chris and Tasha were living in Henderson, NV, they reconnected and began to spend time together playing video games and watching movies. They went on a "date" on Valentine's Day, on which Chris gifted Tasha a Batman lamp. Though they weren't officially dating, it was a beautiful moment in this friendship-turned-romance.
Chris finally asked Tasha out shortly after his 22nd birthday, and by late July the two agreed to begin a relationship.
Chris had already bought the ring two weeks prior, and he told his mother his plan two days prior. Funny enough, Tasha decided to bring up getting married during their monthly relationship check-in. She told him that she didn't expect nor did she desire anything big and flashy for their engagement. As long as there was the intention and the symbol of that intention, Tasha could care less how Chris asked or what kind of ring he'd present to her.
Tasha was still in her work clothes in their bedroom. Chris asked her if all they needed was a ring before they could officially be considered engaged; Tasha said yes.
Chris got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. He didn't even have to say the words; Tasha said yes.
