Our Story

Love Story

Our story began in the Spring of 2017 with fleeting glances at our mutual gym in Rockledge, Florida. Despite believing each was invisible to the other, both formed a crush. In May 2017, David had stumbled upon Tasia’s Instagram page, and promptly liked one of her photos. Tasia, realizing this to be the “hot guy at the gym” was quick to friend him. After another week, several shy glances, and a few more liked photos later, Tasia built up the nerve to message David through Instagram. We decided to start working out together and formed a friendship immediately. We enjoyed the other’s company so much that it took no time at all for us to start hanging out outside of the gym. For most of July, David was away in Texas for a training event, and that’s when we realized how much we missed each other’s company, which strengthened our relationship. On September 3rd, 2017, David took Tasia out for dinner and officially asked her to be his girlfriend. Within weeks of officially dating, we were both sure that we had found “the one”. After several months, we started living together. We are both adventurous and love to travel. We have both been to multiple countries in Europe, and discussed going to a new country together that neither had been to. This was when we started planning our trip to Ireland. In the end, we decided to go on a well deserved two week vacation, spending one week in Ireland and one week in England. During this trip was when David envisioned asking Tasia to marry him. After figuring out her ring style, he went online and custom made a ring he knew she would love. He then went into a local jewelry store to make it happen. He cut it very close, receiving the ring just one day before we left for our big trip! Tasia was suspicious of getting proposed to while in Europe, but had no idea when and where it would happen, still making it a surprise. On July 5, we went on a walk near our hotel along the mountainside. There was a beautiful view of a lake, and it was late enough in the evening that the sun was on it’s way down. Tasia had noticed some deer nearby, and was trying to point them out to David. She turned to look at him, and he was down on one knee. David was so nervous—yet so excited—that he started putting the ring on Tasia’s finger while asking her if she would marry him. She happily said yes.
After returning to the states, we moved to Raleigh, NC and absolutely love it here. We are both extremely excited to get married and start this next chapter of our lives!
